ℹ️ How it works
Sports Aspects casts a chart for every game at the moment and place it starts, reads it with a fixed set of traditional rules, locks the read before kickoff, and scores it in public afterwards. Around the chart it keeps the things that shape a game and rarely get written down: the field's orientation, the wind across it, the Sun and Moon over it.
🕰️ The chart
A contest chart is a horoscope for an event rather than a person: the sky over the venue at the start of play. One side of the game is given the 1st house and its ruling planet, the other the 7th; their victory houses are the 10th and the 4th, their scoring houses the 5th and the 11th. The Moon's next aspect shows where the contest is heading. Houses are Regiomontanus; aspects are the five classical ones with traditional orbs.
Start times matter to the minute, because the Ascendant moves a degree every four minutes. We cast at the listed time, learn how late each broadcast slot really starts and cast at the expected time, and once the first play is recorded we cast at the actual start. Every page says which chart it shows.
⚖️ The read
A read is the sum of testimonies: each rule in the framework that applies to a chart favours one side by a fixed provisional weight, and the net decides the side and a confidence. The testimonies are listed on every game page with a plain description, so a read can be checked line by line by anyone who knows the rules, and disputed by anyone who doesn't agree with them.
🔒 The lock
Forty-five minutes before the start, the core read is frozen: the side, the confidence and the line at that moment are stored, and a hash of them is published on the page. Nothing that happens afterwards can change the lock. After the final, the result is scored against it in public: hit or miss, against the closing line, by confidence, by testimony. That ledger is the only claim this site makes.
🌬️ Conditions and venues
Every outdoor game carries an hourly forecast projected onto the field's measured axis: wind end-to-end or across, gusts, rain, the Sun's position and glare, the Moon's phase and height. The field orientations are measured from map data and verified by hand where the map is unclear; each venue page shows its figure, its photo and its story.
👥 People
Players' transits are screened against their team's roster from birth dates alone, and the ones the sky singles out that day are named. This layer never enters the core read; it is shown beside it.
🧭 What this is not
This is symbolic analysis inside a traditional framework, run as an experiment in public. It is not betting advice, and nothing here is a claim of predictive validity until the ledger says so. Weights and rules are provisional and will be recalibrated as the record grows; when they change, the change is announced and the old reads stay as they were locked.
🌐 Languages and units
Every page exists in English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese and Italian, with the astrological vocabulary translated. Times are shown in the venue's time zone with your own time beside them; temperature and wind follow the page's language and can be switched in the header.
