Terms of use — the full text
1. Who we are
Sports Aspects (sportsaspects.com) publishes astrological charts and readings of sporting events, venues and public athletes. It is operated by its owner ("we", "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and us about your use of the site, with or without an account.
2. Who may use the site
Anyone may read the public pages. To make an account you must be at least 16 years old, and you confirm that when you sign up. If you are under 18, use the site with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.
3. Your account
You sign in with a link we email you, or with a passkey; there is no password. You are responsible for the mailbox and the devices you sign in with, and you tell us if you believe someone else has used your account. One person, one account. A handle or a display name must not impersonate a person, a team, a club or an organisation; we may ask you to change one that does, or change it ourselves.
4. What the site is, and is not
Everything on the site is astrology, published as a study and for interest and entertainment. It is not advice: not financial, not betting, not medical, not legal. A chart or a reading says nothing certain about what will happen. Do not stake money or make decisions on the strength of it. We show no sportsbook, take no bets and earn nothing from any. Where the site shows betting odds, it shows them as a public fact about a game, for comparison with the chart.
5. Your content
What you write on the site — a line about yourself, your comments in the games' conversations, your picks — stays yours. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to show it on the site, in every language the site has, for as long as it is there, and to keep it in our backups for their cycle. Do not post anything unlawful, anything that harasses, threatens or demeans a person or a group, anything that is not yours to post, private information about anyone, advertising or spam; do not pass yourself off as someone else. We may hide a comment, pause a member's comments, take a verified badge back or close an account that breaks these rules, and we keep a note of why. If you claim a player's page as your own, you confirm that you are that person; we check as we see fit, may ask for proof, and may withdraw the badge.
Takes (posts), replies, reposts and the pictures in them are your content too. A take is shown to the circle you choose for it — everyone, members, your followers or yourself — and never wider than your page's own circle; a public take may appear on the site's public feed, on tag pages and in link previews, with your handle. Pictures you upload are copied by us (resized, their metadata removed) and may be held until a member of the staff has looked at them; the staff may hold any take for review, hide it, remove a picture or close an account that posts what these terms forbid, and a take reported by three members is held until the staff has looked. You may edit a take for fifteen minutes and delete it at any time; deleting removes the text and the pictures and keeps an empty row for our counts and logs. Do not post pictures you have no right to post, pictures of people who did not agree to be shown, or anything that identifies a private person; tell us through the contact page if something of yours is posted without your leave and we take it down.
6. Birth data and charts
If you give us your birth data to cast your chart, the privacy notice applies: the data is yours, it is used only to compute what you ask for, it is never shown to anyone, and you can delete it. A chart you make of another person from data you hold is for your private use.
7. Subscriptions
Some parts of the site are for subscribers. Payments go through Stripe; we never see your card. A subscription renews until you cancel it from your page, and ends at the end of the period you have paid for. A period that has not started is refunded; a started period is not, unless the consumer law where you live says otherwise.
8. Our rights in the site
The site's design, texts, code, computations and written readings are ours or licensed to us. You may link to any page and quote a reasonable passage with a link to it. You may not copy the site, fetch it at a rate that burdens it, or republish its readings as a feed. The public API has its own terms on its documentation page.
9. Availability and liability
The site is offered as it is. We work to keep it correct and available but promise neither: feeds break, ephemerides have limits, games move. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that follows from using the site or relying on anything on it, and our liability to a subscriber is limited to what that subscriber paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Closing an account
You can delete your account at any time from your page; it is erased thirty days later unless you sign in again in the meantime. We may close an account that breaks these terms, after a warning where that is reasonable and at once where it is not.
11. Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top is the version. When a change matters, we ask you to accept the new version at your next sign-in; using the site after a change you were asked about means you accept it.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the place where the site is operated, in the United States, and disputes belong to the courts there — unless the consumer law of the country where you live gives you a right to your own law and courts, which these terms do not take away. Nothing here waives a right the law gives you that cannot be waived.
13. Contact
Through the site's contact page.
