🔐 Avis de confidentialité
Version 2026-10-24

1. Who is responsible
Sports Aspects (sportsaspects.com), operated by its owner, is responsible for the personal data described here. Reach us through the site's contact page.
2. What we hold, and why
Reading the site without an account. Our web server logs each request (address, page, time, browser) to keep the site running and safe; the logs are kept for fourteen days. Visits are counted by our own analytics on our own server, without cookies and without storing anything that identifies you. Your language is a cookie; your units are in your session; your theme is in your browser's own storage. None of these identifies you.
With an account. Your email address, to sign you in and to write to you about your account. What you choose to tell us — a handle, a display name, a line about yourself, a country and a city, how you describe your gender, what you are here as, how you found us — to show on your page where you open it, and to understand who comes here. Your settings and preferences. Your consents, with their dates. Beside each sign-in link we sent, a hash of your address and the day (never the address itself) for an hour's cap against abuse, and the browser and system in a few words, for your Security page. For each passkey, its public key and the name you gave it; a passkey never gives us a secret. Your subscription's status and dates and Stripe's identifiers for it; the card itself is Stripe's business, never ours.
Birth data. When the site lets you cast your own chart, your birth date, time and place are kept only to compute what you ask for. They are never shown on any page, never carried by the API, and you can delete them at any time. The birth data you enter for your own people, to cast their charts beside yours, is held the same way and shown to nobody but you; if you invite one of them to claim their entry, it becomes theirs.
What you do on the site. Whom and what you follow, to make your lists and, if you tick it, your weekly digest and reminders; the list is yours alone, your page shows the teams and two counts when you open it. Chart links you ask for and accept, so that two members may compare charts without either seeing the other's birth data. Your picks, with their results, kept for your own record and shown on your page only where you open them; a record you open to everyone may appear on the leaderboards under your handle. Your comments in the games' conversations, which are public under your display name or handle from the moment you post them, can be deleted by you and hidden by us. Reports you send about a comment or a member, kept with the outcome, never shown with your name to anyone outside the back-end. If you claim a player's page as your own, what you write to the staff about it, the decision and its note; your birth time enters that player's record only if you tick the offer and the staff adopts it by hand. Where the staff hides, mutes or bans, the reason is kept in a log that stays in the back-end.
Statistics about members. A nightly count — how many joined, which languages and countries, how many opened their page — with no names in it.
3. On what basis
For readers in the European Union, the United Kingdom and places with similar law: the account and the subscription are a contract with you; security, logs, statistics and the moderation of what members write are our legitimate interest in running the site; your public page, your chart's and your picks' visibility, the emails you tick and the offer of your birth time to a player's record are your consent, which you can withdraw on your page at any time (a birth time already adopted into a player's record stays, as a published fact of the kind the record holds, unless you ask us to close it).
4. Who else sees it
Nobody, except the companies that run things for us: Hetzner Online (our servers, in Germany; our mail server, in the United States), Stripe (payments), and the authorities where the law compels us. We do not sell personal data, we show no advertising, and we share nothing with sportsbooks or anyone in the betting industry.
5. How long
Account data — the profile, the birth data, the charts, your people, your follows, your picks and your comments: until you delete the account, then thirty days of grace, then it is erased; copies in our backups age out within six months. Sign-in links and session notes: one year. Reports and the moderation log: kept without your name once the account is gone. Server logs: fourteen days. Statistics without names: kept.
6. Your rights
From your page you can see and take a copy of everything we hold (Your data), correct it (Profile, Preferences, Privacy) and delete the account. You may also object to a use, ask us to restrict one, or complain to the data-protection authority where you live. Write to us for anything your page does not do.
7. Cookies and storage
sessionid while you are signed in; csrftoken on pages with a form; django_language for your language; sa-view for the lists you have set; your browser's storage for the theme. No third-party cookies; the analytics tag is ours and sets none.
8. Children
The site is not for people under 16, and we do not knowingly hold an account for one. Tell us if you believe we do.
9. Changes
The date at the top is the version. When a change matters, we ask you to read the new notice at your next sign-in.
